There are car parking facilities at over 40 stations across our network that can be used free of charge.
You don't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic or high car parking costs when you get to your destination, simply drive to one of the Merseyrail stations listed below and then relax as you travel by train.
There is also pay and display car parking available at Hooton, Chester and Southport stations.
You can park your car throughout the day, but there is no overnight parking available.

Trains run every 15 minutes 7am - 7pm Monday and Saturday, on all lines except the Ellesmere Port line. Outside of these hours and on Sundays frequency of trains varies. Trains on the Southport line run every 15 minutes from start to end of service Monday - Saturday. On Sundays trains run every 30 minutes.

If found to be in contravention of Merseyrail Byelaw 14 and a person in charge of a motor vehicle, bicycle or any other conveyance shall leave it in any manner that it is deemed to be causing an obstruction they may be liable for a fine of £30.00 and could also face Prosecution.
This includes parking within a designated bay without displaying a valid pass or permit and not parking within a marked bay.
Merseyrail do not allow overnight parking at any station and therefore any vehicle left 15 minutes once the last train has departed that station will be deemed to be in breach as this will constitute overnight parking and may incur a penalty of £30.
