We offer a range of tickets, allowing you to choose the best value ticket for your journey.
Anytime Single / Return Tickets
Travel at any time of the day locally or on the national rail network with a standard single or return ticket. Prices vary and are based on your departure and destination station.
Use our Journey Planner on the left side of this page to plan your journey. The cost of your journey will be shown in the 'fares' column, click on the price to see all of the ticket options available for you to buy.
Day Saver
It may be cheaper to buy a Day Saver if you are only travelling on our network. A Day Saver covers unlimited off-peak one day travel on our network. Adult fares range from £4.45 for 'one area' and £5.95 for 'all areas'. Young person (5-18yrs) fares range from £2.20 for 'one area' and £2.95 for 'all areas'. Young Person and Child Tickets
Children travel for 50% off standard adult fares. Children under 5 years travel for free.
Passengers aged 18 years or under can buy Young Person’s Railpass, Day Saver, Trio, Solo and Saveaway tickets for travel in the Merseyside area.
Family Ticket
A Family Day Ticket can be used for up to 2 adults and 3 children aged 5 to 15 and costs just £13!
If two adults are travelling, up to three children enjoy FREE travel!
The ticket is valid from 9.30am weekdays and can be used throughout the day on weekends for unlimited travel on the Merseyrail network and Northern, Wirral and City line trains within the Merseytravel boundaries.

Railpass
If you make regular journeys by rail, we can offer you a choice of season tickets that will save you money off standard fares. Railpass saves you from having to buy daily tickets if you are travelling on a regular basis over a week, month, term or year, is easy to renew and starts from as little as £17.10.

Corporate Travel
Corporate Season Tickets will save your employees money if they travel to work on a regular basis by rail at peak hours (06.31 – 09.29). If you support employees through travel scheme benefits, help them get the cheapest travel ticket available for regular travellers. Click here for more information.
Cheap Day Returns
If you are travelling outside peak hours (peak time is 06.31 – 09.29), save money by purchasing a Cheap Day Return ticket. Fares vary and are based on your station of origin and destination and can be found using our Journey Planner.
Group Travel
If you are a group of ten or more adults and children travelling together on our network we can offer your party an adult standard fare reduction of 26% for adults and 63% off the adult fare for children.
