Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be further significant changes to Merseyrail services from Thursday 2 April 2020. Trains will now operate a 30-minute service on all lines between 07:00 -19:00 Monday to Saturday, with a limited additional service from 19:00 to 22:00 on some lines. Trains will operate between 08:00 - 20:00 on Sundays.
Anytime Single / Return Tickets
Travel at any time of the day locally or on the national rail network with a standard single or return ticket. Prices vary and are based on your station of origin and destination. Check the ticket price for your journey using the Journey Planner below.
Anytime Day Single and Anytime Day Return tickets are valid for one single or return journey on the date shown on the ticket.
Cheap Day Returns
If you are travelling outside peak hours (peak time is 06.31 – 09.29), save money by purchasing a Cheap Day Return ticket. Fares vary and are based on your station of origin and destination.

Children (aged 5 - 15) travel for 50% off standard adult fares. Children under 5 years travel for free.
