Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be further significant changes to Merseyrail services from Thursday 2 April 2020. Trains will now operate a 30-minute service on all lines between 07:00 -19:00 Monday to Saturday, with a limited additional service from 19:00 to 22:00 on some lines. Trains will operate between 08:00 - 20:00 on Sundays.
A PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited bus travel on participating operators’ services that you buy with your train ticket.
What is PlusBus?
Bus travel can be at the start, the finish or both ends of your train journey. So you pay for your complete journey in one easy transaction at the train station. With PlusBus you can hop on and off participating bus services around the whole city of Liverpool.

How do I buy PlusBus?
You can buy a PlusBus ticket with most types of rail ticket (single, day return period return and season ticket), at any booking office, from self-service ticket vending machines. You can get PlusBus for the start and / or the end of your journey.
PlusBus ticket prices start from £2.50 a day. Railcard holders get 1/3 off the price of PlusBus day tickets. Children (aged 5-15) pay half the adult PlusBus day ticket price.
