Face Covering Exemption CardShare
Passengers must wear a face covering when travelling on the Merseyrail network, from the point of entering the grounds of a station, until exiting the network to protect staff and other passengers. A maximum £6,400 fine applies.
Passengers are required to provide their own face covering and to continue practising social distancing wherever possible.
If you have a health condition or disability that prevents you from wearing a face covering, you can still use public transport.
We would encourage you to use one of our face covering exemption cards which you can show to a member of staff when necessary.
The cards are available to download and cut out here or at any of our staffed stations.
You should continue to follow social distancing guidance and hygiene measures where you can do so.
If you are travelling, travel with confidence.
