From Monday 18 May, Merseyrail will be increasing services on the network, including reinstating some services before 07:00 and after 19:00, Monday – Saturday. Services will continue to run between approximately 08:00 – 20:00 on Sundays.
The Merseyrail Sound Station Festival returns to Moorfields Station this November when 10 artists will perform for their chance to be crowned Sound Station winner.
There are so many things I am thankful for Sound Station for. It’s allowed me to have more time to try things and I’ve found that is it about what you want to explore.
Sound Station 2014 Winner
Ten finalists have now been chosen from a very strong field of entries and will perform at Moorfields on Saturday 21st November. A panel of expert industry judges including last year’s winner Blue Saint will then pick a winner on the day from an exciting crop of artists. The winner will gain a year’s professional music industry mentoring, free travel on Merseyrail as well as studio time and slots at festivals throughout 2016.
The following artists will play sets on a stage at Moorfields station as part of the festival:

- The Shipbuilders
- The Basement Effect
- Lewis Maxwell
- Lucy Mayhew
- Rossa Murray
- Cal Ruddy
Merseyrail Sound Station is now in it’s fourth year and has continued to develop with it firmly on the radar of all the region’s festivals and thought of as a fantastic springboard for new musicians. This is born out by the high calibre of acts who have submitted entries to the prize and those that will feature in this years final.
