Merseyrail & RMT reach agreement to meet again

On Thursday 5 April, 2018 Merseyrail confirmed that it was pleased with today’s talks with the RMT which were supported by ACAS officers. Further talks are now planned to take place within the next seven days.
Andy Heath, Managing Director at Merseyrail said:
“I am pleased at the positive progress that has been made in the discussions with the RMT
with the aim of resolving the current industrial dispute. We have jointly agreed a statement
with the RMT through ACAS which outlines the current position and we look forward to
further talks over the next few weeks”.
Latest Update (18/05/18)
“A further day of talks between Merseyrail and RMT took place under the auspices of the conciliation service ACAS. Both Merseyrail and RMT have continued to engage positively in what are very difficult and complex talks. These talks have to remain confidential, at the request of ACAS, and will continue to take place while the parties constructive approach is maintained. The next meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 5 June 2018."
