The Merchant is Liverpool’s fantastic multi-purpose events space on the corners of Parr Street and Slater Street, in the heart of the Ropewalks area.
The Merchant has a minimalistic Scandinavian feel to it, with a spacious outdoor garden area and all-round unpretentious vibe. Since opening its doors in May 2016, events have included DJ sets from Jungle, celebrations for World Gin Day and a weekly Bongo’s Quiz, a pub quiz with a twist.
There’s Prosecco on tap, craft beers and spirits from around the world, plus over 50 different varieties of gin behind the bar to whet your whistle. Outside in the garden you’ll find Felicity’s Kitchen, a new ‘revolving kitchen’ concept that will allow the best of the Northwest’s street-food vendors to set up shop and flog their fare.
