Standing proudly some 400 feet above the heart of the City Centre stands St Johns Beacon, also known as the Radio City Tower.
St Johns Beacon is a radio and observation tower which is the second tallest building in Liverpool. The building houses the studios of Radio City, City Talk and Magic 1548. Since opening in 2011, St Johns Beacon is one of the city’s often overlooked tourist attractions; but the striking building offers stunning panoramic views of Merseyside, Wirral, North Wales and as far away as the Lake District on a clear day. The Beacon viewing gallery is a must whether you’re visiting the city or you live locally.
The beacon is open to visitors from 10:15am – 5:15pm, with no need to pre book. Prices cost £5.50 for adults, £4.50 for concessions, £3.50 for children and under 5’s are free of charge. A family ticket is also available.
