The stunning Museum of Liverpool is the world’s first national museum devoted to the history of a regional city, demonstrating Liverpool’s unique contribution to the world.
Showcasing popular culture whilst tackling social, historical and contemporary issues, the museum is a fantastic, free family day out and an exceptional learning and community resource. Families will especially love the dedicated children’s gallery, ‘Little Liverpool’.
Exhibits include the stage where John Lennon and Paul McCartney first met, Ben Johnson’s Liverpool Cityscape, a life-size Liverbird, the first Ford Anglia from Ford’s Halewood production line and Chris Boardman’s famous Lotus sport bike.
The cafe on the ground floor meanwhile, serves delicious traditional British food with a contemporary twist where you can relax, with excellent views of the new canal link and the Albert Dock.
