Follow the Stars across the city centre this Christmas when Bold Street, Church Street, Lord Street, Castle Street and Williamson Square will be transformed with a display of light and sound that will bring magic to building, trees and the very own Christmas tree on Church Street.
Suspended above Bold Street, eight Falling Stars will seek to highlight the absence of these lost Church bells. Vivid light will give new life in the shadow of this iconic memorial to the past.
An immersive audio visual installation aiming to illustrate the vast cosmological evolution, of unquantifiable periods, into a condensed animation. It will transform Castle Street into an ephemeral and other worldly place, operating within a different measurement of time.
The real Christmas Tree
Back by popular demand, the City’s 50ft, real Christmas Tree will be on Church Street from 15th Nov, decorated with beautiful star constellations like the other trees across the BID areas.
From 15 November, a 5 metre x 5 metre globe will bring to life Williamson Square throughout the Christmas Period.

90 trees in the city centre will twinkle with festive lighting and Christmas features matching the 'falling stars' seen on Bold Street.
