West Kirby Marine Lake
Not only does West Kirby offer stunning views of the Welsh coast line, the beautiful stroll along the edge of the salt water lake will make you feel like you're walking on water. Watch the sailboats and windsurfers as you make your way out along the path with water on both sides of you. Restaurants and shops line the promenade, handy for warming up with a bite to eat after your walk.

Escape the traffic and noise of the city centre for the pretty gardens in Sefton Park. At 235 acres, as well as green open spaces, the park is home to an impressive lake, waterfalls, the iconic Palm House and a large playground for the little ones to burn off some energy. St Michaels station is a short walk away and the train from Liverpool Central only takes 7 minutes!

Chester City Walls
A different option to a countryside walk but with just as impressive views. Chester's city walls are the oldest and longest in Britain and the complete route is a great way to experience Chester for the first time or discover new areas. Free to walk and surrounded by Chester's amazing choice of restaurants and bars, you'll be spoilt for choice for a post walk lunch.

New Brighton Seafront
There is everything you need for a day in the fresh air at New Brighton. Not only is it a stunning coastline, mini adventurers will love New Brighton beach with the famous Black Pearl shipwreck. A short walk from the beach is If it does get a bit chilly there are lots of indoor destinations on the doorstep at Marine Point, including The Light cinema where you can catch the latest blockbuster in luxurious comfort.

Ainsdale Nature Reserve
Just a few minutes' walk from Ainsdale station, here there are several colour coded paths winding through the pine woods and sandy dunes. Picnic benches are dotted along the main paths for the perfect outdoors pit stop. Popular with young families and keen cyclists, the paths are suitable for all.

Otterspool Prom is where you'll find peaceful views across the famous River Mersey, just south of the city centre. Popular with walkers, cyclists and also kite flyers! At the end of the prom and just an 8 minute walk from Aigburth train you'll find the new Otterspool Adventure Centre with wooden play equipment and delicious homemade cakes in the cafe.
