We hope everyone is enjoying an overdue catch-up with friends over a drink or a meal out at your favourite restaurant now that they can welcome you indoors. However, it wasn’t just food and drink venues that re-opened in the latest relaxation in lockdown rules. Take a look...
Sometimes you just cannot beat a great new film on the big screen. Cinemas across the region are back open. Odeon in Liverpool ONE has 18 screens so there is something for everyone, the latest family film, blockbuster or the recent Oscar winners. The Light cinema, a short walk from New Brighton station, also has family film tickets for as little as £3.75, great for entertaining the kids on a rainy day.
Liverpool does bowling alleys on another level. Roxy Ballroom is back, with not just bowling but also Crazy Pool, an ‘extremely playable mash up of mini golf and pool’. It is open until 12/1AM. Another city centre favourite on Duke Street, Pins, has already seen locals making the most of their amazing roof terrace but you can now also book a lane and get your game face on. Look out for the Bottomless Brunch and Bowl events on weekends.
The perfect example of really appreciating something when it is taken away! We've had a fair few rainy days this year and it’ll be so much easier to entertain the little ones now that indoor play centres are back open. Bubbles World of Play is the largest indoor play area in the UK, a child’s dream and a short walk from New Brighton station. Just 7 minutes’ walk from Brunswick station is Yellow Sub play centre and there’s no need to book, just turn up and let the kids burn off that energy.
Museums and Galleries
Liverpool is home to several world class museums and galleries including the Liverpool Museum on the Waterfront, Tate Liverpool on the Albert Dock and the Walker Art Gallery, a few minutes from Liverpool Central and Lime Street low level stations. Next door to the Walker is Liverpool’s World Museum, now hosting AI: More Than Human. Visitors will experience interactivity through immersive artworks and a thrilling vision of the future.
Royal Liver Building 360
The most iconic building in Liverpool is welcoming visitors again to its 360 tour. After you have viewed the exhibitions join your guided tour to the tenth and fifteenth floors to enjoy spectacular 360° views of the Liverpool skyline and experience a world-class digital projection show inside the historic clock tower.
