New Fleet TestingShare
Testing of the new, state of the art trains for the Liverpool City Region is moving to the next level as they head out onto the Merseyrail network during normal service hours.
Testing is needed to check how some of the new features work, such as the new passenger information system on board the train, which will be more modern than the system in use on our current fleet.
So far, the new trains have been doing test runs late at night but as we move into the next stages of testing you may start to see our new trains travelling around the network during the day.
Part of the testing process requires the train to stop at each station and open the doors.
If you do see one of the new trains, please do not board.
