Liverpool Events

Liverpool events are renowned the world over, and as the city is well known for its fantastic culture and nightlife, there's always something going on. Here's just a taste of some of the Liverpool events going on in the city this year that you won't want to miss.

February – The spectacular Chinese New Year celebrations are world famous, so why not bring in the Year Of The Rabbit in style with the oldest Chinese community in Europe?

March – The Classical Spectacular returns again, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing well know pieces of music, with canons and fireworks.  

April – The Grand National needs no introduction, so you'll want to make sure that you book your tickets in time for the greatest horse race in the world.

May – Liverpool Sound City 2011 offers 3 nights of music and 2 days of conferences, and appeals to musicians and music lovers alike.

June – The René Magritte exhibition at Tate Liverpool is a must see, and another excuse to come to the Albert Dock again.

July – On The Waterfront is a maritime event taking place at the Pier Head and will also celebrate the 100th birthday of the Liver Building. You'll also have a chance to look at the new Museum of Liverpool too.

August – International Beatle Week features over 50 bands, and there's plenty of live music from the iconic Cavern Club on Mathew Street.  If you're a Beatles fan, or just a music fan, you won't want to miss this.

September – The multimillion pound spectacular Batman Live show is to be performed at the Echo Arena, and is the first time that Batman comic has been brought to the stage.

October – Alan Carr Live at the Liverpool Arena is bound to be a sell out, so you'll want to get your tickets now to avoid disappointment.  

November – There will be many firework displays taking place across the city, and you'll want to go to an organised one, so that you and your family can enjoy yourselves safely and have a good time.

December – Christmas and New Year in Liverpool is always a fantastic occasion, so why not book a hotel and stay here during the festive season?
